Mission Christmas is the biggest appeal run by NorthSound Cash for Kids annually.
Against a backdrop of a cost of living crisis the 2022 Mission Christmas campaign was always going to be a challenging one with more families in need and fewer donations.
The #JEllieJoy advent campaign donated £1,000 to the Mission Christmas appeal which enabled the charity to close the gap between donations and the number of children in need.
Michelle Ferguson, charity manager at NorthSound Cash for Kids explains, “Mission Christmas is our biggest appeal for the year and last year was a struggle, I’m not going to lie.
“We didn’t have the volume of gifts and donations we usually do and that’s why the cash donations are so important, we relied on donations such as yours to buy gifts in order to fulfil the applications. But as always, we ensured that every child applied for got a sack of gifts to open on Christmas morning – all 5,588 of them.
“Thank you so much for your extremely generous donation to Mission Christmas 2022. We cannot do this without support such as yours – thank you so much!”
